Dee
Dee is a cinematographer with an endless love for shooting and lighting imagery. They got their start through rock climbing and skateboarding related projects in the early 00’s and moved into to more “standard” industry work in 2005. They lived a nomadic lifestyle for 14 years working and climbing all across the American west from 2006 to 2020. Although they primarily work as a D.P. they also produce and direct independent documentaries. Dee’s current feature doc project details the lives of aging Chicago punk rockers from 1984 to present. In 2023 artist Richard Wearn invited Dee to collaborate on his art film “Seismic Reification” which was screened by the European Cultural Center as part of the 2024 Venice Biennale.
